Late Friday evening, just after supper, owls were let loose to deliver a message to all students capable of taking electives.
Students!
It has come to my attention that fewer and fewer of you have any interest in taking Muggle Studies as an elective. This year, my class is smaller than ever, so I would like to extend an open invitation for late enrollment.
Where else can you take trips to London and even make it to mainland Europe for observation hours, tours, even a camping trip or two, if we can get the school officials to sign off on it. The class only functions well if there are enough diverse voices to lift it up.
Show up on Monday and there will be no questions asked - except for your name, house, and year so that I might add you to the roster.
I look forward to seeing you!

Both girls are sent back small bags of chocolates tied with blue and silver ribbon. The following note is attached:
I look forward to seeing more smiling faces come Monday morning!
(and specifically to Harper)
I have had plenty. All students are welcome in my classroom. I look forward to your insight!
