Daemyn walked into the club, more than looking the part. He told the bouncer that he had an interview with the owner and he was let in right away. Thankfully, he'd had enough forethought to slap a collar around his neck before he'd stepped foot into the place. It had been an afterthought, really, and more of a fashion statement than anything else. He was glad for it now, though. People eyed him as he walked through the club, but he didn't falter under their stares. Instead, he shoved his hands in his pockets and strode forward confidently. There was no one in here that scared him, no one that could touch him. Daemyn wasn't concerned in the slightest as he made his way to the bar.

The place was packed and everyone was busy. He had talked to a man on the phone. Josef, he thought, but the guy hadn't asked his name. He took a seat at the bar and took the opportunity to look around while he waited for someone that he could talk to. He was already very interested in this place. This definitely looked like somewhere he could fit in and get a few decent tips. He still wasn't sure they'd hire him with a record, but it was a relatively short record. Of course, he'd only existed on this planet for a relatively short amount of time. He reached up a hand and ran it through his hair when a bartender finally came up to him.

"Yea, uh, surprise me?" He asked. He'd been going to bars ever since he'd landed on this miserable planet, and he knew a thing or two about the fine art of mixing drinks. Still, he watched closely as the bartender worked. Finally, he had a drink in his hands. "I'm here to see Josef about a job. Do you know where he is?" The man shook his head and said that Josef wasn't in yet, but that he'd send him over the second he walked in the door. Daemyn settled in to his drink and continued watching the crowd while he waited.

Izzy kept her eyes on the unfamiliar man that entered the bar. He walked with confidence, making his way through the crowd and to the bar. Still, even when he took a seat at the bar, Izzy didn't approach right away. She watched him for a moment, waited for the right time to approach. When the man asked for Josef, she took that as her cue, and stepped forward.

"He's right," she said to him, "Josef's not here, but I am." After a moment, she extended her hand out to the newcomer, but she didn't smile. She studied him for a moment before falling back into a rhythm, wiping down the bar with one hand and sliding drinks down the bar with the other. When she felt like enough time had passed, her eyes met his again. "Welcome to Demonia. I assume you're here for the interview?" Her eyebrow rose just slightly as she looked him up and down. He looked the part. That was good. Check in that department. She permitted herself a small smile in his direction before hopping over the bar and sitting on the bar stool next to him.

"I'm Izzy. I'm a friend of the owner. We're gonna have a chat, and if our chat goes well, I'll let the owner know when he gets here, and then you can chat with him." She told him. "What's your name, kid?"

He looked to the woman and shrugged. It hadn't been anything near what he'd expected, but he wasn't going to complain. He needed a job and he didn't really care who he talked to about it. He assumed she had been sent out to try and scare him or something, but he'd run with tougher crowds than this. Sure, they seemed a little out there, but he was more than prepared enough to deal with anything thrown at him. He nodded slowly when she asked if he was there for the interview, not really sure how he should act toward her just yet. "This place seems a little..." He wasn't really sure what the word he was looking for was, but he was sure she'd understand what he meant by it.

"Daemyn," he said as he extended a hand. "Daemyn Brensin. I came in from Manchester, but before then... Well, you wouldn't believe what happened before then anyway. I'm from Manchester, and if you go digging into my background, you'll probably find a bit of information that doesn't make me the ideal employee." Hey, there was no sense in hiding anything right off the bat. He'd never had the opportunity for a real job before, so he had taken what he'd needed. The problem was in getting caught. If he'd been a bit more careful... but people that had job all their lives never really understood a thing like that, and it was something that could stop him from flying even before he'd tried to take off. Still, it was worth a shot.

Izzy waited quietly, her eyes roaming the crowd. Even still, her ears stayed trained on the new young man as she waited for him to reply. "Yeah, it's a little different if you're not used to the crowd, but once you've been around it for a while, you won't have to worry about anying--excuse me?" When he said his name, her thoughts halted completely and her eyes widened. She studied him a little more. Fiends could alter their appearance...but this man wasn't a Fiend. He wasn't even a vampire. She was sure of it.

She cleared her throat. "Oh. Oh. I apologize. I didn't mean to..." To nearly eat you for introducing yourself? That didn't sound too well. "In any case, it's nice to meet you...Daemyn." She smiled as best as she could and pulled out her cell phone to send a quick text. This was something that Josef should get some warning about on principle.

Izzy looked back up at him and laughed when he commented about having a record. "Assuming you know what you're doing behind the bar and aren't stupid enough to steal from my friend," her eyes narrowed for just a moment, "I'm sure something like that won't really hurt your chances of employment..."

"Is there a problem?" He asked. He'd never had anyone react that way when he'd told them his name. At least, not on this world. He shook his head slightly, as if trying to toss off the last remnants of a particularly nasty dream. He watched her closely while she texted someone, shrugging it off. Perhaps it was the guy that Daemyn was originally supposed to meet with. Really, he just wanted to find out if he had the job or not. If he didn't, well then he'd just have to start looking somewhere else. It didn't matter either way, but he rather hoped he could get this job search crap out of the way before too long. He needed money for the flat, and he needed a job to have money.

"I've never had to mix drinks in a setting like this before, but my friends always said I was fairly good," Daemyn offered with a shrug. "I can show you a few of my signature drinks if you like, things I made up mostly, and I know how to follow a recipe if there are some bar specialties you have or whatever." He cringed at the mention of theft. "Funny you should mention that... Uh..." He rubbed the back of his neck. "That's what I'm in trouble for. Never anyone I knew. Never real places like this. Pickpocketing mostly. The easy targets, the ones that wouldn't notice something missing, but I'm trying to clean up my act." So I don't get my ass landed in jail.

Izzy shook her head. She was certain if she could blush, she probably would have. Maybe. After all, the kid didn't get to choose his name, and he couldn't possibly have known Josef's history. It hadn't been that long, and it wasn't necessarily in the papers. She sighed. "I apologize. Your name just happened to remind me of an old...friend of mine. That was unprofessional. I apologize." She felt like she was repeating herself, but at the same time, she didn't want to leave the poor kid hanging, either. Josef would be here soon enough, and it didn't sound like things had gone too well with the decorators. If nothing else, maybe she could save them both some time.

Izzy's eyes met his again, and curiosity flickered across her face. "You haven't?" Her eyes narrowed just a little bit, and she looked behind the bar for a moment. "Well, that might not put a nail in your coffin, either...but you'll have to prove you can handle yourself back there..." she motioned behind her to the bar. "And that you don't have any qualms with the whole blood thing..."

Izzy didn't realize she'd said that last bit out loud. She continued. When Daemyn spoke again, her face lit up. It was a mixture of surprise, curiosity, and something else...amusement. "Really?" A smirk crossed her face. "Well, I'll be sure to let the owner know." She paused for a moment and glanced around at the crowd again. "And uh, I understand you're trying to clean up your act...but, uh...just in case...I wouldn't advise trying to steal from anyone around here. Josef caters to a very special kind of crowd..."

"No worries," he said with a shrug. "I was just wondering if I had done something to offend you." She didn't sound like she was very happy about this old friend of hers, so Daemyn wasn't about to press the matter. It wasn't like he'd come from anywhere near here anyway. He clearly wasn't the person she was talking about. He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket. It was one of those cheap pay-per-minute ones that he'd gotten with the money that was leftover after he paid the rent for the flat. He had expected to talk to the owner before now, but at least this other woman was interesting enough, and she seemed to know what she was talking about for the most part.

He shrugged. He had been living on the streets for a while, but had done what he could for himself and his friends. There was one word, however, that his mind caught on. "Blood?" Daemyn asked as he lifted an eyebrow. Now he was confused. "Does it have to be my blood?"

He shook his head and put his hands up in the air. "I only stole what I needed to survive. I got stuck on the streets with no job and no place to live. I have no family, no real friends. I did what I had to do." The words came out in a rush as he tried to defend himself. "I wouldn't dream of stealing something from one of these people." He looked around with a confused expression on his face. He had an idea as to what was going on here, but he wasn't completely certain. To him, a collar was just another interesting fashion accessory.

Izzy shook her head. "No, not at all." She insisted, offering him another smile. "Just caught me off guard. My fault." She closed her mouth for a moment, and found herself looking at the crowd once more. This wasn't a good topic...and luckily he didn't seem brave enough to press the issue. After a moment, she let out a heavy sigh and looked back at him.

She laughed nervously, ducking her head just slightly. "Oh. I said that part out loud, did I?" Well, in truth, it wasn't like it was really that big of a secret to begin with. The boy would have found out pretty quickly if Josef ended up hiring him, anyway. Laughing nervously, Izzy flashed the young man a slightly fangy smile and nodded. "Yes. Blood." She gestured to the crowd. "We uh...mix it into the drinks so that we can enjoy the alcohol. Otherwise, we can't digest it..." she explained nonchalantly. "And no...it doesn't have to be your blood..." She smirked. "Although some of the barmaids around here actually enjoy the Kiss..." she whispered, mischief in her voice.

"Oh? Survival? Well, you should have said that before. That's a different matter entirely. Not to mention Josef takes pretty good care of his employees around here..." Izzy shrugged.

He had a few questions about this place before the conversation continued. He really wanted to know more about this situation with the man with his name, but was sure that if she wanted him to know she'd say something, so he went along another line of questioning instead. "So... This place caters to..." He stopped and swallowed hard. "I wear this collar for fashion. I am guessing that wearing it was just luck on my part. What can I expect from this place if I am going to work here?" He could tell a few things simply by looking around at the people that were there, but he wanted to make sure. If he needed to wear the collar every night when he came here, then he would like to know that before he found himself too deep. The more he saw, the more he seemed to want this job.

He listened intently to what she had to say. It was all very fascinating to him. Blood. There were patrons at the club that drank blood, and he was going to have to be comfortable with using it in the drinks that he mixed if he wanted to work there. As long as it didn't have to be his own blood, he was okay with that, but there was something else that she said that got his attention rather quickly. "Kiss?" He'd heard of vampires, and he was assuming from the clues he'd been given that was the case. He reached his hands up and pulled the collar away. She hadn't offered, but he was curious enough. He'd heard the whole bit about vampires and neck biting and whatnot. He held his collar tightly in his hands and a smile pulled at the corner of his lips. "What's it feel like then?"

Izzy's smirk grew into a wide smile, and she found her eyes wandering the crowd once more. Daemyn had obviously gotten a few clues in his time sitting at the bar, but the fact that he took the initiative to actually ask as well showed some serious intelligence on his part. "It caters to exactly who you think it caters to," she nodded to him. "Fetishes. Bondage...submission and domination...and just about anything in-between." She couldn't help the twinkle in her eye. "The collar?" she pointed to the accessory around his neck, "That's probably a good idea. You want people to think you're off the market, or some of them will assume you're on it. That can get interesting. Not too often of course, but there's the occasional jack-ass who has to ruin it for everyone..." Izzy shrugged. "This place has some of the best bouncers in London though, so it's usually nothing to worry about."

"That's what they call it," she nodded, her eyes lighting up once more. "And there's a very good reason for it..." She was beginning to like this kid and his sense of curiosity. When he spoke again, she shifted in her seat. She was silent for a moment before slowly leaning forward. When she spoke, her voice was just barely above a whisper. "Well, you're going to need to get used to being around it eventually, and since you're curious..."

She stood, circling around so that she was standing behind him, and very carefully moved his hair out of her way. She placed one hand on his shoulder and leaned in, her fangs extending as she got closer to his neck. With only a small second of hesitation, she bit down slowly. She'd never been the type to refuse a free meal, even if it was a small one...
