Use the Quick Links to get to the generic comment code or a specific character's comment code.
- Comment Styles
* One of the staff members will create your blog's comment code to match the color theme you've chosen with the intro and entries. * Always use the appropriate comment form and fill it out completely. * If signatures are turned off in the character's blog, please turn your own signature off before posting. Do this by unchecking the box next to 'Include my Signature in this Post'. * If you don't use the right comment code for the blog you've posted in, forget to disable your signature when needed, or you mess up the coding in any way, the staff will edit it, or send you a PM and ask you to fix it.
- Comment Subjects
* The subject field of the comment should follow the example given. Leave the 'Re:' and follow it with the title of the blog entry you are commenting on. * If you're replying to another user's comment on an entry in the blog, the subject should still be the subject of the entry they replied to.
- Other Stuff
* Only characters that have been processed and approved may comment on blogs (or have blogs). * Post from the account of the character who is making the comment! * If in doubt, confused, or otherwise in need of further help, see the 'Instructions' section below.
{ ::Instructions:: } In order to make a comment, find the code for the user whose blog you wish to post on then copy the information from the code box below the example and paste it into a reply on their blog. Alter the demo information as explained below. Replace the following elements:- URL
* Replace with the direct link to the icon your character is using for their comment. * Maximum dimensions should be 100 pixels width and 100 pixels height, just like on a real (live journal) blog. * Remember that images should not contain anything that would not pass as PG-13.
- USERNAME
* This is to be replaced with your character's username. * Do not use an already-taken username. * Spaces are permitted. * Make it something that your character would believably choose as their online handle. * If you already have a blog for the character who is commenting, use their pre-established username. * If you don't yet have a blog for the character, make sure you choose the username wisely; you shouldn't change it from comment to comment or from the comments to the blog.
- TITLE
* Replace with the title of the entry to which you are replying. * If you are replying to a comment someone else made, use the title of the entry they replied to. * Do not remove the 'Re:' in front of the subject.
- TIMESTAMP
* Replace with the day, date, time, and other such information. * This does not have to coincide with the exact current time, but it should be a time in which the character would believably be able to read an entry and reply with a comment. It should also be a time after the time the blog entry was written. * Keep in mind that vampires won't be awake to write blog entries during the day. * Usual format for date can be seen in the example.
- ORIGINAL POSTER
* This is the username of the person to whom you are replying. * If you are replying to an entry, this should be the username of the blog's author. * If replying to an existing comment, this should be the username of the comment's author.
- BODY
* Replace this with the actual content of your comment. * Don't add an extra line break before you start writing the content. (This means don't press the enter key and start typing the comment on a fresh line.) The writing is placed directly against the coding for spacing purposes. * Line breaks in the actual content, however, are perfectly okay. No need to make giant, run-on paragraphs. * Make sure that you aren't powerplaying, unless it happens to be that your character is lying about something and doing so is completely in-character for them.

{ ::Generic Comment Code:: }
See the first post of this thread for links to each character's blog code; only if the character whose blog you're commenting on is not listed should you choose this code.

| | | This is the body of a generic comment.
| { ::The Code:: } Make sure 'using HTML and UBBCode' is the chosen markup option. You'll need to be in the full reply screen to do this. The Markup option box should be located just below the text box. Be sure all demo information is replaced with accurate, IC information. <table><tr><td>[align:center]<img src="URL" /><br><b>USERNAME[/align]
