Ok so she was going to have to get used to the time difference. But London was a scary place so many people though she had been New York City a few time still that was nothing like this. Luckily she still quailifed as a child. So the stewardess had gotten her a cab and Amberley had told the man where she needed to go from the piece of paper she carried with her.
She pressed her face to the window watching the buildings passed by. Big place meant for a big adventure. When the cab stopped outside the Black Friar, she gave the man some money and then stepped out on to the curb. Looking up at the Friar for a minute or two before letting out a sigh as she pushed the door open. Making her way to the bar where she sat down and asked, "Got any chicken fingers?"

Ok so after running out on Michael the other night with Jilly Oliver was in the doghouse. So he found himself back here on an off from St. Mungo's, Hermione was healing nicely. So he had nothing to worry about except for Auntie coming around. He'd been cleaning when he heard a small voice. "Yeah we do hang on."
Turning around to address the new customer, Oliver was kind of shocked cause well she was alittle young to out by herself, not only that but she looked familiar to him. Like he knew her from somewhere. Strange cause he didn't remember working on a young girl before. He looked to the door and then back to the girl, "Where's your mum and dad?"

Amber got wide eyed when her dad turned around to face to her. Sure she had seen the pictures but that was nothing compared to seeing him in person. And she did look a lot like him, Mom had been right. She was slient for a moment just looking at him before saying, "Mom died last month and my adoptive dad sent me here to find my real dad. He didn't want me around anymore."
She dug in her bag to find the pictures, placing one of Melody on the counter, "That was my mom and she was always telling me stories of the Black Friar. So I came here cause she told me that was where I could find my dad." And she just sat there with her hands folded in front of her.

Oliver was getting a little hot under the collar, what kind of man sends a kid off by themself just cause he didn't want to look at her any more. bloody idot that guy was. Still when he saw the picture his heart started pounding. Well that started putting two and two together. Especially when she mentioned the pub.
He ran a hand through his hair before asking, "What was your mum's name? More importantly whats your name?" Logical question right? Right, very good one.

Amberley watched her dad process the information, she;d grown up knowing the man without actually meeting him. So this didn't shock her. Not at all ok well maybe how different he looked.
Still she smiled at him as she said, "Melody O'Connell and my name is Amberley Gordon. And your Oliver Gordon my father." And with that the girl got down off her stool to walk behind the counter and grab them both a glass of water. Placing both cups on the counter when she returned to her stool.

Oliver was at a loss for words he had a daughter. Well course he did Melody had told him she was going to have their child. But he had never expected to see his kid ever. So this was a surprise to him. He smiled at the water and took a drink, she was observant he'd give her that.
Once he got that out of the way he rubbed his face to just stare back at her. Melody dead now that was a shock. He was sorry for that cause well he'd loved her dearly.
Finally he spoke, "So your to live with me now? What about her husband whats his face."

Amber just watched her dad, he was a weird one. But then mom had always said that he was shy around people that he'd just meet and considering he probably didn't he would ever see her. She could kind of understand it. Still dad was weird. She took a drink before saying, "Mister whats his face, didn't like the fact I was your kid. So when my brother was born and mom died he packed me up with my two dogs and sent me here."
She shrugged a bit, "Didn't really care for him anyway, always told me I wasn't his. Mom would cry but she'd never tell me why. Which was why she told me about you. Always wanted me to know about my family. Grandma and Grandpa like you too."
She looked around the place, "So this is where you sing right? Will meet my Aunt and Uncles too. What about great grandpa, he always sounded funny to me. Or is Aunt Bridie already coming cause you guys have that freaky twin thing that mom always talked about."
It had felt like she has always known about her family and she didn't mind. Dad might be a little freaked but to Amber this felt natural. Like this was where she was supposed to be. And she was greatful that her mom told her stories and wanted Amber to know just where she came from.

Two dogs well if his house wasn't already full animals two more couldn't hurt. Still he didn't like the fact that whats his name hadn't liked his daughter. He;d just meet her and liked her already she wasn't like Ceara had been as a child. Granted she had been eight at the time but still that girl could be bratty. Then again maybe he was just baised. But then apart of him stopped OK women with kids wasn't so hot, a man with a kid was. Meant that he was settled or something, YAY just when he needed another reason for that species to come after him.
Oh well, he had his kid that was all that mattered now. Though Oliver probably had a good idea why Melody cried but he wasn't going to say it or give Amber the wrong impression that was best left unsloved. "I always liked seeing her parents been awhile since I saw them. Guess now I have a reason and you can see them more since they still live in Ireland."
He chuckled a bit, "You'll meet them soon enough. And yes Bridie already knows your here but she is going to let me get used to the idea of being a dad and getting to know you before comes into the picture. Sound like a plan?" He didn't want her to stay away cause well she was better at this then he was. He only dealt with kids as they were crying and screaming not when they were prefectly fine.
He rocked back on his heels as he said, "So favorite book?"

Amber beamed at the mention of going to Ireland to see her grandparents. She even bounced a bit as she said really really fast, "Really really, we can go. When can we go? Can I get them something, should I owl them. I gots loads to tell them. But seriously when can we go?" Clearly it had been awhile since she had seen them.
She thought about it before nodding, "Guess that is a good plan, though are you used to the idea yet? Cause I wanna meet her, please." But she didn't mind spending time with her dad though even if he was a little odd. "Besty, Tacy and Tib. Favorite color?"
Hey she could play twenty questions to ya know.

Oliver's eyes widen as his daughter started to speak a mile a minute. Ok so she was just alittle excited. He laughed as he held up his hand saying, "Whao cool your jets, I have figure out a time off from work first. And then I have to let them know that your with me so they aren't worried about you. So I will let you know."
Once again he found himself smiling, "Almost used to it, beginning to think you want to meet Bridie more than meeting me. Getting a little jealous." He was actually quite used to the idea now like a piece that wasn't whole was whole now. But he wanted some time to himself with Amberley before bringing Bridie here.
"Favorite color would be Blue, favorite food?" Hey who said twenty questions wasn't a good way to get to know someone was off their rocker.
