As yet another school year comes to a close, many young witches and wizards begin their lives as adults - as Hogwarts alumni. Some remain at home and partake in familial businesses. Some venture off into a world of mystery and adventure with little more to guide them than their own common sense. But a few know exactly where they want to build a future yet aren't sure where to begin - or perhaps have no clue what they wish to do and are in need of a little guidance. For those who fit the latter two categories, this is the resource you've been waiting for! It can be a daunting task, trying to figure out who to turn to and where to go when looking for your first - and perhaps lifetime - career; and we here at the Daily Prophet want to make the process as easy for you as we can.
Whether you dream of working for the Ministry of Magic or fancy yourself the next best thing to happen to the world of professional Quidditch - and even if you plan to run your finger down the page and apply for the job it lands on - you can find the necessary contacts here. These are the people to call upon should you have questions about job openings, inquiries about job requirements, or any other questions and concerns regarding the career paths listed below.
Good luck and congratulations to the Hogwarts graduating class of 2009!
{ Ministry of Magic }
Department of Magical Law Enforcement Aside from the obvious occupations of Auror and Hit Wizard, the DMLE also covers crime scene investigation, improper use of magic, and other related matters of magical law. Please contact either of the Co-Senior Ministers for information on these non-specific divisions.
Co-Senior Minister over Hit Wizards - Jack O'Neill Co-Senior Minister over Aurors - Jethro Gibbs
Department of International Magical Cooperation This department handles the international affairs of the wizarding world and works to create and maintain peace and cooperation between the magical communities around the world. It is also the department which houses the Wizarding Examinations Authority.
Senior Minister - Sagaia Wise
Department of the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures From centaurs to dragons to werewolves, this is the department you seek if you wish to work with and help to maintain the order of certain magical beasts and beings. The department offers a variety of risk levels from desk jobs to field work (applicable training is, of course, required).
Senior Minister - Michaela Cooper
{{ The other available departments which have no senior minister available to contact in-game are: Department of Magical Games and Sports, Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, Department of Magical Transportation, Department of Mysteries. For more information on the divisions of any of the departments, refer to the Ministry Staff wiki page. }}
{ St. Mungo's }
Artifact Accidents Head - Luka Kovac
Creature-Induced Injuries This is the unit which houses the "Dangerous" Dai Llewellyn Ward for Serious Bites.
Head - Wesley Wyndam-Pryce
Magical Bugs Head - Gregory House
Potion and Plant Poisoning Head - Tucker Greene
Spell Damage Unit Head - Ryanne Fraser
{ Daily Prophet }
{{ There are currently no characters to contact in-game regarding positions in the Daily Prophet. Logically, internship is the most likely position for freshly-graduated students, though there are sometimes exceptions. The job descriptions and/or departments currently listed/available are as editors, reporters, photographers, or interns. The Daily Prophet wiki page lists the divisions and the current non-NPC employees. }}
{ Professional Quidditch Teams }
Appleby Arrows Coach - Gabriel Stryker
Chudley Cannons Coach - Aidan Keogh
{{ Please see the Adult Quidditch Players wiki page for a list of the other available teams which already have one or more player-characters on them. All other canonical professional Quidditch teams are available for inquiry as well, but please keep in mind that your character's nationality and/or place of residence will likely impact which teams they may and may not apply for. After all, it's unlikely for a character living in Britain to become part of the Irish team and so forth. }}

This will be active for 2 weeks. After that, callouts will be considered over and teams will be rolled for accordingly
For any of you looking to join up on your house quidditch team - this notice is for you! The wiki now reflects the slots opened by 7th years. If you would like to attempt to try out for such a position, post here stating what position. Any contested positions will be rolled for. A reserve for each House team will be created, so even if you aren't a starting player, you could be considered part of the team!
For any returning players - if your team has no designated Captain, you can place your request to attempt for Captain here. Again, if more than one teammate are attempting for one Captain slot, it will be rolled for.
Open positions are!:
Gryffindor - None, only reserve Hufflepuff - Seeker and reserve Ravenclaw - Chaser, Two Beaters, Captain, and reserve Slytherin - Beater, Seeker, Captain, and reserve
