Light Side of Darkness is always open to members and new characters. If there is something that you want to create, but are unsure as to whether it is supported on our site or not, feel free to ask the Administrators about it and something can be sorted out through that.

A little unsure of starting with a brand new character that isn't related to anyone at all? There are certain players that offer characters that are mentioned in their bios up for play by anyone. These might be friends, relatives, lovers, parents, or a multitude of other relations to their existing character. If you think this may be something you want to look into, be sure to contact the player of the original character before coming up with a surprise bio. A lot of times, these players have certain expectations that these other characters must have in order to fit into the existing mold. Communicate with the original player and ask all the questions you have.

If there are no available characters that you might like to play in that area, then search through bios and see if there are any unplayed characters listed in the special relationships in those bios. Make absolutely sure that you contact the original player about the possibility of grabbing one of those characters before you make any moves, however. With cooperation and creative thought, the desired connections for your new character are only a PM away.
